Downtown Los Angeles Wedding at the Cicada Restaurant? Yes please. These last couple of weddings have reminded us how much we love urban settings, and one doesn’t get much more urban than downtown Los Angeles and our prior post in Chicago. We love the city! It also helps when your couples love the city too. So what happens when two beautiful brunettes (yes I’m talking about you too Kambiz) meet at a salsa dancing class? Well they get married of course and throw an outstanding dance party. Literally it was like being on the set of Dancing With the Stars. Okay maybe minus the b-list celebrities, but the dance party was intense. Of course before we fast forwarded to the dance party we did a “brisk” (and by brisk I mean we could have photographed them for hours if it had been in the cards- their faces are that good) portrait session in a colorful part of downtown LA. Well all of downtown LA is pretty colorful, but I could have been there forever. Seriously people I love urban grit. “Jenelle are you down for getting in this nasty grimy alleyway for photos?” Her eyebrow raises. But obviously she did it because they are awesome like that! We are so lucky to get to photograph weddings like this, for people with so much love for each other. I was losing track of how many times Kambiz said, “I love this woman.” And if you were even attempting to count the smiles you would have been overwhelmed. Like most great weddings I felt like we arrived, blinked, and the whirlwind was over. Luckily we have these handy things called cameras. Results are below ↓
