These two crazy American kids meet in India, fall in love, Skype at each other like the internet is going out of style - and end up getting married at the Brookfield Zoo in Chicago. When Jen first told me her and Chris’ story of how they met I immediately thought this is wild enough to make a movie. Then R. Kelly’s “Zoo” cued in my mental soundtrack, because let’s face it when does R. Kelly’s “Zoo” not play in my head anytime I’m thinking about a zoo? Warning - if you click on that link it might play in your brain every time you think of a zoo. There is a clear reason why I’m a photographer and not the guy in charge of movie soundtracks. Anyways, despite having never met either of these two in person we lucked out on getting such a fun and laid back couple. They are great, their friends are great, the families were great, even the weather was unseasonably not sweltering hot. A whole lot of great, great, great! Then you take all of that great and surrounded it by wild man eating animals. And I don’t even mean the guests! Ha! Congratulations Jen and Chris, we had a blast and didn’t even get mauled by a single bear. Oh and Jen, apologies for not getting a photo of your snake bouquet.
