Kristin and Michael planned the most inspired DIY wedding we’ve ever photographed at Langdon Farms Golf Club in Aurora just outside Portland this past September. Kristin handmade her wedding dress and it was very unique. All the bridesmaids wore different dresses and shoes in shades of yellow, blue, and gray. Kristin added an awesome pop to her look with funky yellow heals, vintage gold and silver floral jewelery, and a gray decorative belt. I’m a huge fan of the yellow & gray color scheme for weddings, so much so that I have an inspiration board saved on my desktop with those colors. I was thrilled when I walked in to Kristin’s wedding vision. It almost matched my wedding inspiration board perfectly. She added lots of little touches like yellow chick place cards, paper lanterns, white porcelain chicks, and paper pom-poms on all the reception tables. Michael even made a DIY photobooth that was a big hit.
Langdon Farms is a pretty awesome wedding venue. It hardly looks like a golf course. The property features red barns and a big plantation style white house. The grounds where covered with flowers. It was really a beautiful landscape for a wedding.
Despite the near constant rain Kristin, Michael, and their bridal party were still up to take lots of photos. They even had some cute matching umbrellas that were great props for the wedding portraits. Here are some of our favorites from the day. Hope you enjoy!
