San Diego is a relatively new city, so when it comes to finding areas of the town that have an old world feel to them that aren’t the default Balboa Park – sometimes it’s a bit of a struggle. Presidio Park is an area that often gets overlooked, but I’ve always loved that on any given day it’s largely deserted. You have the Spanish architecture of the mission – and the beautiful landscaping of the park. Lots of eucalyptus trees and even a hidden succulent and cacti forest. It’s a pretty cool place, and perfectly fitting for our cool clients Heather and Jeremy who made a day trip down from the LA area.
