Punta Cana Dominican Republic Destination Wedding | Shannon & John

Dominican Republic – Punta Cana destination wedding at the Hotel Iberostar Bávaro, a huge dose of tropical love! Shannon and John are one of our fun loving laid back couples from Chicago. They decided to take their wedding to the scenic locale of the Dominican Republic, rolling a vacation, wedding, and honeymoon all into one. Destination weddings can actually be a lot less stressful and expensive than doing something in a big city like Chicago, and obviously due to the distance involved odds are only the closest people in your life are going to attend. We were lucky enough to get to be a part of the festivities, and loved the extreme change in scenery from our normal day to day. It was also awesome to be able to meet all of the special people in their lives. It was an amazingly intimate good time – and absolutely beautiful as well. Stay tuned, we have a day after trash the dress session to show off too!

Shannon & John’s daughter Callie liked being photographed a bit more than putting on her wedding attire.

The dinner reception was held at Iberostar’s Jambalaya restaurant which was blissfully air conditioned.  The jambalaya incidentally was awesome.

While we at Continuum are not advocates of smoking, watching the cigar making process is fascinating!
