We’re back for day two of our coverage of Humaira and Vikas’ Indian wedding at the Hyatt Regency in Boston. I’ve got to say this was a hard blog post to prepare, I feel like I really only skimmed the surface on how amazing this day was. It was definitely similar to the first day in the respect to what we photographed – getting ready, traditional activities, portraits, family photos, and a beautiful ceremony (this time Muslim). The big difference was the evening didn’t end with a calm and relaxing dinner, which we actually had to omit from our first post to make a little room for this one. The end of the night of our second day of coverage of their wedding celebration exploded into a dance party that rivals none other we’ve ever shot. And we’ve shot some intense dance parties. The dance floor was packed the ENTIRE night. There was even an intermission between the crazed dance party that featured some amazing toasts/roasts from family members (will we ever see photos of Vikas’ apartment in Hoboken?). Usually with most weddings when the momentum of a party is slowed down it takes a little while to get it going again. Nope. DJ Amrit packed the floor immediately after the last newlywed game shoe had been dropped and we witnessed some of the most spirited dance-offs to old school hiphop that I’ve ever seen. The energy of the night was just wow. Humaira and Vikas’ family and friends are all awesome. Humaira and Vikas are awesome. This wedding is awesome. What else can I say?
