I’m happy to finally get around to posting Candise and Griff’s Hollywood engagement session. One of the absolute best parts of my job is to have the line between client and personal friends be blurry. While for some having a definitive separation between who you are working for and who you call friend makes things less complicated, I for one absolutely love that the people I photograph can become important parts of my own life. It’s just one of those unique parts about doing something as intensely personal as portrait photography. Oddly enough even though I grew up in San Diego, I never spent a ton of time in Los Angeles before I moved away from California. It’s just been recently within the past few years that I have been able to get back more often and really explore some of the things the city has to offer. I was lucky enough to be able to spend a whole weekend down in the area hanging out with these two. We explored some of the most iconic sights of Los Angeles- the Hollywood Hills, the Hollywood Bowl (one of Candise and Griff’s favorite spots), Hollywood Blvd, Olvera Street, and downtown Los Angeles. We had an absolute blast, and it was so much fun to get to know them better. Can’t wait for the wedding later this year!
